Reception Autumn Walk
On the 4th October 2016 Reception children went on their Autumn Walk . Wellingtons were the order of the day even though the sun was shining. We all sang We're Going On A Bear Hunt as we strolled down to George's Wood, where we looked for the signs of autumn. The children collected leaves and twigs to bring back to school. We saw berries on bushes and the leaves that were all different colours on the trees. We spotted mushrooms growing in the ground and Mrs Harrison spotted some fir cones. We walked past the allotments and a kind gentleman allowed us on to his patch to look at his chickens and geese. We then made our way to Honey-Jo's Grandparents stables where we saw a cockatoo that spoke to us and we met some horses that were in their stables. As we left all our children were given a drink and a bag of sweets to be taken back to school. Thank you ever so much Honey-Jo's grandparents! The children and staff enjoyed visiting you and your home.
