Welcome to Year 2!

Things to remember

Please make sure your child has a water bottle in school every day and has a warm, waterproof coat.

Reading books and reading records should be brought into school daily.

 

Reading

Our phonics scheme is Junior Learning. 

 

Homework

In Year 2, the children will receive Focus Words on a Friday which they need to practise at home ready to use the following week.

As Reading is the key to unlock our broad and balanced curriculum, we would like the children to read every evening. Reading diaries will be checked weekly.

 

PE

Our PE days this year are Tuesday and Thursday. One session is with our Sportstarz coach, and the other by the class teacher.
