Teaching of British Values
Promoting British Values at Christ Church Ainsworth C of E Primary School.
The DfE reinforced the need “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”
The Government set out its definition of British values in the Prevent Strategy, and these values have been reiterated ever since. At Christ Church these values are reinforced regularly. Please see the stars below for more information.
Here are all of our competition winners:
These children created characters for each of the values and entered them into our school's competition and were our winners. They then worked with our very own, super-creative, Miss Chadwick, to develop them into larger characters ready to be displayed in each and every classroom around school.
