Teaching respect in the classroom is a task that we do daily. At Christchurch we teach children what respect means through our PSHE curriculum and through British Values. Teaching respect in the classroom helps pupils succeed. When children are able to treat each other respectfully, they respond to direction and instruction in a positive way. In effect, they are more likely to succeed in their future.
Environment Day is an annual event where all pupils help to improve the school grounds. This makes them aware of their role in a future community/world.
Pupils learn about respect in PSHE, often through role play and scenarios. Y6 learnt about respecting difference and performed mini scenarios to demonstrate how showing respect for everyone regardless of difference.
