Autumn 2
This Term we have observed our children growing in confidence and developing secure relationships with their nursery friends. We started off the term focusing on Halloween, Bonfire Night and celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali. The children were aware that the days seemed shorter and that the weather had turned much colder and we encouraged them to dress independently and gave them lots of opportunities to prepare and taste warm, healthy snacks.
Later on in theTerm, the children helped us to set up a lovely baby clinic in our roleplay area after we observed that many of our children had recently become siblings. The children developed their learning in all curriculum areas based upon their own experiences. This also helped them to prepare for any changes that would be happening at home. Thank you for all the amazing Tapestry observations that you have sent in over the past few weeks. The children have loved sharing their experiences of the world with their friends and you have inspired us to plan some exciting new topics.
