Well Done Year 5!
Victorian Day
Year Five have spent a day as a child in Victorian Times. The children all took part in a role play of a typical school day. They all dressed in appropriate costume and had to sit in rows.
All day they had to get used to being addressed by their second name and standing up whenever an adult entered the classroom. They learnt a poem by rote, practised spellings, tried to produce copperplate writing and had a drill on the school yard. At playtime the children played with old fashioned games. Miss Canavan and Mrs Hardman found it the quietest day of the year so far! |
I'm Special! The Year 5 children were asked to think about ways in which we are similar and different. During our R.E session we spent time celebrating our differences and embracing the fact that we are all unique. Please listen to us recite an adaption of Elizabeth Anne Richards Schurg, ‘I’m Special’. Mrs Connelly

We decided to visit two different denominations in Ainsworth and try and spot some of these similarities and differences for ourselves.
Please watch our power point to see Year 5 pupils visiting Ainsworth Unitarian Chapel and The Parish of Christ Church Ainsworth Church .
