Chinese New Year
Here are the children learning about Chinese New Year 2022. They looked at where China was on a globe and also had a look at the buildings in China, comparing them with the buildings we have in England. The children agreed that they looked very different to our buildings.
They then went on to look at what they eat, we found out that they used chopsticks to eat things like rice and noodles. The children then had a go at using some chopsticks, they soon realised that they were a little tricky. 🥢😂
After the chopsticks we looked at the symbols they use to represent numbers, the children then had a go at forming the symbols on Chinese calligraphy water paper. After this they had a go at a dragon dance which they found really fun.🐉
