Healthy Eating With The Highway Rat 🐀
Dear Parents,
This week we have been focusing on being healthy. We’ve talked about germs, practised hand washing, and been checking that the doors and windows in our classroom and around school school are left open. The children even remembered to catch coughs and sneezes in their elbows without being prompted. Amazing 🤩
We will be continuing this healthy theme over the next couple of weeks 👍 and we will be using the story of ‘The Highway Rat ‘ to help us think about foods that are healthy and foods that are not!
Therefore we’d like the children to complete 2 pieces of homework that we can add onto our Highway Rat display board 🥰.
Homework
1. Please could you send in a photo of your child eating something healthy via Tapestry. This might be their favourite fruit or vegetable or possibly a healthy food that they have never tried before 🥰.
2. Thinking of our healthy food theme, we would like the children to make a piece of art work that we can display on our Highway Rat board. This could be a drawing of a fruit or vegetable, a painting or even a 3D model etc.
We can’t wait to see what you make for the display board children🤩
