Autumn hedgehogs ๐Ÿ

Nursery have been manipulating salt-dough this week to make hedgehogs.

The children rolled and patted the dough, before squeezing it to make snifflingย snouts!

The children then chose a numberedย autumn leaf and were challenged to take that number of wooden sticks from a big pile, to stick in their hedgehogโ€™s back. We learnt that hedgehogs spikes are actually called quills.ย

Once the hedgehogs were ready, Mrs Connelly baked them in the oven and then our very excited children painted them and added two eyes ๐Ÿ‘€. We hope that you agree, they look fabulous ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘.

Take good care of your hedgehogs children, they need a nice warm home to hibernate in this winter ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜.
