Nursery have been manipulating salt-dough this week to make hedgehogs.
The children rolled and patted the dough, before squeezing it to make sniffling snouts!
The children then chose a numbered autumn leaf and were challenged to take that number of wooden sticks from a big pile, to stick in their hedgehog’s back. We learnt that hedgehogs spikes are actually called quills.
Once the hedgehogs were ready, Mrs Connelly baked them in the oven and then our very excited children painted them and added two eyes π. We hope that you agree, they look fabulous ππ.
Take good care of your hedgehogs children, they need a nice warm home to hibernate in this winter ππ.
