Today we finished off our Diwali topic by having an amazing Diwali feast with our nursery friends. The children listened to some peaceful Indian music whilst taking a place at our spectacular Indian restaurant which was set up beautifully by Mrs Haslam. We used the lovely table cloth and divas that Mrs Connelly had made previously to help to create an exciting setting for our children. We lit the divas, dimmed the lights and served up the curry, rice, poppadoms and chapatti bread and the children had a wonderful time tucking in. They all looked so colourful in their Diwali outfits and they were delighted when Ohm (From Year 4) came to join us and helped to serve up the food. Then Ohm showed the children the tasty Diwali sweets that he had brought in for them from home. They were all eager to try the delicious sweets and we said a big thank you to Ohm. We sniffed the sweets first to try and guess the unusual flavoursπWhat a super way to end a fantastic topic. Happy Diwali everyone πππ
