The Bug Chant
As part of Y3's literacy work this half term, the class are studying Performance Poetry.
As a class we discussed the characteristics of an effective performer.
We decided that an effective performer needs to have a clear, fluent speaking voice and should show their understanding of the poem through an appropriate use of expression and volume. They should also include the use of actions/props to enhance the visual impact of the performance.
The class have worked brilliantly in groups, learning sections of a poem and have put lots of effort into being effective performers.
