Spring Term
- Nursery children have visited the 'book nook' often this term. It's a very popular area in our classroom. Children have shown lots of interest in the illustrations and are beginning to understand that the print gives us information. They are taking very good care of the books, holding them correctly and turning pages. This term we have began to read to each other in the book nook more and more and have shown a good understanding of the way stories are structured.
- The children LOVED the story of the 'Naughty Bus'. In fact the children voted it their favourite book we have read so far. Many parents have told us their children are now pleading to go on a bus journey! The story is on you tube if any parents would like to listen to it with their child at home.
We enjoy looking at books independently.
We enjoy sharing stories together.
We also listen to our friends read stories to us.
