Please click on the show to see our final handmade clay hedgehogs. The children used their language and observational skills to talk about how a hedgehog looks. We then discussed the importance of measurements and ingredients needed to make the salt dough and how to follow a recipe. In turn the children were able to talk about the different textures through touch and sight and mould mixture to make a hedgehog shape. Fine motor skills were used in painting a black nose, the eyes were made using their fingers and then concluding using scissors to make the spikes. They all enjoyed taking their hedgehog to the hairdressers and naming it! Well done everyone.
