Shrove Tuesday
Nursery listened to the story of 'The Runaway Pancake'. We joined in with repeated parts of the story. The story has been included below, if any parents would like to read it with their child at home.
The Runaway Pancake
In the malleable area we practised making and tossing salt dough pancakes.
Children read the story, 'The Pancake', to their friends.
Nursery decided what toppings Mrs Connelly should buy from Asda. Unbelievably, chocolate spread was never mentioned! Instead we opted for jam, sugar and syrup. Pancakes were placed in the snack shack, where our children chose and added their toppings all by themselves.
Wow, look who made a frying pan and pancake in the 'Make and do'.
