Today the Early Years children have been busy trying to find a place for Mary to have her baby. This morning the nursery children made their way to Bethlehem to be counted. Once they arrived in Bethlehem they visited every inn in our school, asking a very important question,
“Is there any room for us”.
Sadly no one had any room, although the staff found it very hard to say no to our little shepherds and Mary and Joseph 😁.
This afternoon the reception children came to help the nursery children find a place to stay. We trudged in the rain and Mrs Haslam explained that it was a long hard walk to Bethlehem. We asked our neighbours if they had any room, but no one replied. Just as we’d lost all hope, we suddenly saw a shining star 🌟 .
We asked an inn keeper if he had any room and were shown to a lowly stable. Here Mary and Joseph were finally able to sit and rest as our children sang ‘Away in a manager’ to them.
Our children were able to think about Mary and Joseph on their long walk today and how it must have felt to find that all the rooms had been taken.
Well done children and thank you very much for thinking about the Christmas story with us 🌠🌃😇😍🌟.
