Year 4

On Tuesday 28th June Year Four visited Williamson Park in Lancaster for their summer trip. The children enjoyed a fantastic day in the sunshine and really enjoyed the freedom of the park.

Williamson Park has several things to enjoy such as the butterfly house and Mini-beast area and the fantastic Ashton Memorial and its views of The Lake District and Morecambe Bay. However it was the permanent orienteering courses that the children enjoyed most. The children have been doing orienteering within the school grounds for a few weeks to develop their skills, but the size of the park and unfamiliar settings really provided the children and teachers with a stiff challenge and a lot of exercise! To finish the day the children enjoyed a well deserved ice-cream before returning to school all the more weary for their day out. Click to see the slideshow!

Yr 4 have been learning how to make a PowerPoint Presentation.

The Children chose a creature/animal and made a PowerPoint Presentation on their choice which they performed in front of the class.
